Barack Obama was born in Honolulu Hawaii, on August 4, 1961, which makes him currently 48 years old. His mother is of Caucasian descent, while his father is African American. If to win this election, he would become the first African American president of the United States. He began attending Harvard Law School in 1988, but once done with that he moved to Chicago, where he currently resides. For 12 years, Obama served as a professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago Law School, and then in 2004, he ran for senator of Illnois, although he did began serving the Senate in 1997. Obama goes for the donkeys! That means hes a democrat and is liberal. Throughout his time in Chicago, he served many different charities and foundations; he helped to raise a lot of money for the community. Obviously he's even a good person at heart. There has been some concern with his religion and such, and believe me, he is not Muslim! He follows Christianity, hes a Christian!
Well, the "requirements" to become president of the U.S. are that
- you must be 35 years of age
- born in the U.S.
- resident in the U.S. for at least 14 years
Obama fits all those, but there many qualites to be president, and powers which only the president contains. President is also known as the Commander in Chief, they have the authorrity to send troops into combat and only they can decide whether to use Nuclear Weapons. Other parts of the president's job is to enforce laws, treaties, and court rulings; prepare the national budget, and appoint federal officials. The president must also approve or veto acts of Congress. Obama is a great orator, and a great leader overall. He's also a very intelligent man, he went to Harvard Law School! He has good decision-making, and is a perfect fit for the president of the United States. Though our country is an economic downfall, I assure Obama will help us through it and make our situation better. His economic plans are brilliant. Vote for Barack Obama! You won't regret it!

- Do you feel that the 22nd Amendment should be repealed? Give at least two valid, solid reasons to support your answer.
Answers:
1. Four years
2. George Washington
3. President Franklin Roosevelt
4. 22nd Amendment
5. Policies are what the President is allowed to do.
6. Enforcing laws and treaties, preparing the national budget, and appointing federal officials.
7. I personally do not believe the 22nd amendment should be repealed, because you wouldn't want the same president forever, and it would be unfair. Someone else should be able to get the most powerful job in the world if you ask me.
